Looking forward to it, the last Top Gun came out in 1986 and was a big hit, so am looking forward to this new one. It has spurred an online internet back and forth already between the Navy and Air Force.
So, when Tom Cruise posted this picture indicating that filming had begun the Air Force was quick to respond that if Maverick had a real need for speed he would hop into an F-15 Eagle, the fighter of choice for the Air Force.
The Navy responded on Twitter with “Sorry boys, no points for second place”.
The Air Force responded with “The F-15 knows nothing about this “second place” thing you speak of. Check the scoreboard!”
Ouch….they didn’t let up from there, with another tweet, the Air Force again tweeted
“Want to talk about speed? How about 16,000 MPH?”
Geeeezzzzzz!!!!! Reminds me of Uncle Rico and Napolean Dynamite.
Oh yeah Air Force!!! I can run 16000 miles in just five seconds!!!!!
I know many people will be looking forward to Top Gun 2. I sure am, but its going to be different without the F-14 Tomcat being the center of attention of the movie. I haven’t looked up the actual plot, but I think somewhere I read that it will include something to do with drones or UAV’s. I was told and informed the other day that there is a difference between drones and UAV’s. Ok sure…whatever……laptop, computer, desktop…all the same I guess.
