Thanks for reading this little corner of the internet. I wanted to do a quick article on movies and shows I am very much looking forward to seeing in 2020 should I get around to doing so.
First up, it does not need any introduction of course is Star Wars Episode 9 “The Rise of Skywalker”. I still haven’t seen this just yet, and although it does have bad critic reviews on rotten tomatoes, I think the audience score is pretty good.

Critic reviews as of this writing is sitting at about 55 percent, vs in the 80’s for audience scores. I have never known what it is about critics that they can’t seem to connect with audiences on a movie. I suppose that is a topic for another day but from the audience score I know this will most likely be a great movie. I was no fan of the Last Jedi as a previous article I wrote about. I hope this movie corrects a lot of the mistakes they made in Last Jedi.
I keep hearing about “The Mandalorian” on Disney +. I think they are quick to realize they have another hit on their hands with this one. I see baby yoda pop up on my Facebook feed almost on a daily basis now, I keep hearing about all the great things in the Mandolorian, I think even Gina Carrano is in there as well. I have been following Gina ever since she was one of the first UFC fighters…was it UFC??? I can’t remember….but in any case she can fight in real life for sure.
I still haven’t seen 1917 either. I really want to see this one as I am also big into historical movies and I believe that by watching war movies we never forget what it took to get here in civilization. The pain and agony of past generations forging the way ahead with blood, sweat and tears. I did see Midway, and I thought it was well done, and from what I know historically accurate.
So that pretty much sums up just a few of the things I want to see starting off 2020 on a good note hopefully with a good viewing of the new Star Wars movie.
Since this is a blog helping new authors, I thought I’d take a moment to share some amazing works from the group I manage.

Another author who you should really take a closer look at, the always impressive and talented Liz Holmes:
